What is Redefining Mi?

At Redefining Mi, we share education on Mental Health Issues, We provide Mental Health Coaching and Peer Support Groups in both Swahili and English.

Meet the Founder

Naamini umefika hapa baada ya kusoma baadhi ya articles zangu Instagram. Well, jina langu ni Cesilia.  Kwa miaka zaidi ya 10 nimekuwa nikijifunza juu ya uhusiano kati ya "experiences" zetu za utotoni na tabia zetu za ukubwani. Bahati nzuri kumekuwa na tafiti nyingi katika eneo hili lakini bahati mbaya nyingi hazijahusisha mazingira na tamaduni zetu za Afrika Mashariki moja kwa moja. Ungana nami ili kujifunza kwa undani kuhusu mzizi wa tabia zetu, kuanza safari ya mabadiliko na kuishi maisha ya uhalisia yanayopelekea kuwa na afya njema ya akili (Mental Wellness), kukua kihisia (Emotional Maturity) na malezi yenye utambuzi (conscious parenting)

Coaching Sessions

As a certified Trauma-informed coach, I help my clients understand the presence of past trauma and wounds, its current effects on mental health and well-being, and how to use the client’s resiliency to guide them along their path toward solution-focused growth.

As a professional coach, My goal is to meet everyone where they are by creating a safe, non-judgmental, and trusting environment. By using available research-based resources and coaching techniques, I help my clients understand their remarkable ability to heal, overcome, adapt,  transform, and reach their higher potential.

Redefining Mi Support groups bring together people who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. For example, this common ground might be Childhood Sexual Abuse, Grief and bereavement, Relationship Challenges, etc

Our support groups provides an opportunity for people to share personal experiences and feelings, coping strategies, or firsthand information about dealing with the situation.
